The original kitchen in this home just flat out didn't work. The poor design limited counter space and made the kitchen feel crowded and claustrophobic even if only one person was cooking! Storage was a big need for this homeowner and they wanted to open up the space to be able to move more comfortably. We removed a pony wall and turned the U-Shaped dense space into a large island while extending the cabinetry along the main wall. The homeowners also wanted to give their fireplace and entertainment space a facelift. Again, storage was the main problem. We built-in gorgeous bookcases and repainted the fireplace as well as putting new flooring throughout the home.

This large, unique island was perfect for not only storing their belongings, but the lovely shelving allows for easier access to more used items while still having a place for everything.
