This is a beautiful guest house/casita. The homeowners wanted a place for an extra office and art studio, as well as a place for guests to stay and have their own privacy. Most of the building was already there, and it was functioning as a storage place and an art studio. As you look at the picture of the building, it originally extended up to the beginning of the patio area. TraVek added a nice area to sit outside on the patio, under cover. Inside there were two storage rooms. From them, one was turned into an office, and the other was turned into a bathroom. The rest of the guest house is a great room that includes a kitchenette, sitting area and sleeping area. From the pictures you cannot see the bed, but in that cabinetry is a lovely Murphy bed. As you can see, this home offers comfort and privacy for travelers away from home, as well as a quiet space to spend time, whether they be just relaxing, working in the office, or creating art.

The original shell was a storage garage. It ended before the patio began. During the remodel an under roof patio was added, and the inside was separated into rooms.

The patio doors are equipped with remote control shades that are very convenient.The patio is on the east end of the building, so it's a perfect spot for morning coffee.
